Aqua Therapist Role at Lupin

Aqua therapists play a vital role in enhancing the physical and mental well-being of individuals through the use of water-based environments. At Lupin, we seek skilled professionals to join our team in this critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A. Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their physical condition, mobility issues, pain levels, and specific therapeutic needs.

  • B. Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, setting specific goals for each patient's rehabilitation or therapeutic process.

  • C. Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic exercises and activities in water, utilizing the buoyancy, resistance, and hydrostatic pressure of water to enhance mobility, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular function.

  • D. Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and monitor patients' progress throughout therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • E. Education and Guidance: Educate patients and their families about the benefits of aquatic therapy, explain exercises and techniques, and provide guidance on home exercises or activities.

  • F. Safety and Risk Management: Ensure the safety of patients during aquatic therapy sessions, including monitoring water conditions, assisting patients in and out of the pool, and preventing accidents or injuries.

  • G. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.

  • H. Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, to coordinate patient care and achieve integrated treatment goals.

  • I. Research and Development: Stay informed about advancements in aquatic therapy techniques, participate in professional development activities, and contribute to research efforts to improve therapeutic outcomes.

  • J. Advocacy: Promote the benefits of aquatic therapy within the healthcare community and advocate for its inclusion as a valuable treatment option for various conditions and populations.
