Job Summary

Lupin is seeking a highly skilled Hydrotherapy Specialist to join our team. As a Hydrotherapy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in using water-based environments to help individuals improve their physical and mental health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct initial assessments of patients to evaluate their physical condition, mobility issues, pain levels, and specific therapeutic needs. Design individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, setting specific goals for each patient's rehabilitation or therapeutic process.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic exercises and activities in water, utilizing the buoyancy, resistance, and hydrostatic pressure of water to enhance mobility, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular function.
  • Progress Monitoring and Education: Regularly assess and monitor patients' progress throughout the therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families about the benefits of aquatic therapy, explaining exercises and techniques, and providing guidance on home exercises or activities.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure the safety of patients during aquatic therapy sessions, including monitoring water conditions, assisting patients in and out of the pool, and preventing accidents or injuries.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards. Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors to coordinate patient care and achieve integrated treatment goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field.
  • Aquatic therapy certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
