Production Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar structure manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

This is a critical role that requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure timely output while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all production activities on the shop floor to ensure timely output.
  • Supervise job placement, material flow, and stage-wise movement during fabrication and assembly.
  • Design and execute layout plans for new lines/projects including fixtures, gauges, and equipment installations.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine logs, and breakdown records.
  • Manage in-process inventory and maintain an efficient flow across the production chain.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and design teams for smooth onboarding of new products and structure types.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related metal fabrication industry.
  • Proficient in managing production machinery, tooling, and quality control processes.
  • Solid understanding of solar mounting structures and associated fabrication methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and production planning tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage shop floor teams and workflows.
