Job Profile: Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the implementation of a robust Governance, Risk, and Compliance program within an organization.

This position will support the review of risk and controls, which entails comprehensive coverage of the risk universe at activity level and assess the adequacy of controls to mitigate risk of operational & technology failures and regulatory noncompliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead risk assessments and profiling for business units and operational activities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adapt risk management practices accordingly.
  • Ensure policies/processes are designed to comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand processes and facilitate documentation of controls.
  • Provide oversight and challenge business units on risk management practices.
  • Carry out risk aggregation exercise to provide unified view of risk.
  • Promote the use of advanced technologies and data analytics in risk management.
  • Act as a key point of contact for risk-related matters pertaining to business and operations.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance principles and be able to demonstrate experience in implementing risk management frameworks. They must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a financial services or related industry, would be an advantage.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
