About the Role
Alstom is seeking a skilled Project Engineering Manager to lead our railway signaling projects, driving innovation and technical excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing technical contractual scope, ensuring customer acceptance, and mitigating project risks.
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical contractual scope of the project, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
- Be accountable for customer acceptance of the project solution, validating technical design choices with peers and Solution Director.
- Identify and ensure compliance with applicable regulations in the customer country or city.
- Manage project solution customization and parameterization to meet QCDP commitments.
- Act as chairman of the Project Change Control Board, overseeing verification and validation activities.
- Supervise engineering work package and associated risks, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Functionally lead the project engineering team, allocating tasks and ensuring engineering activities follow-up.
- Deploy applicable engineering processes, methods, and tools on the project.
- Manage and participate in the evaluation of the project engineering team.
Requirements and Qualifications
Shall have a minimum experience of 10 plus years in the signaling industry and a minimum of five years in signaling design. Shall be a good communicator, with attention to details being a must-have. Shall possess a degree in any of the engineering disciplines.
Behavioral Competencies
Shall be a team player, capable of managing the engineering team. Shall be able to develop system specifications and requirements, define system elements and interfaces, and develop engineering strategy.
Language Skills and IT Abilities
Must be well-versed in English and MS Office. Shall have knowledge of project management indicators and understanding of how to use them to follow-up the project situation, identify potential problems, and address them in a timely manner.
