Job Title: Sustaining Engineering Expert

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of hands-on experience in supporting products through their full lifecycle, implementing design changes, driving quality initiatives, performing root cause analysis, improving product reliability, and ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and train engineering teams on sustaining engineering principles and practices.
  • Support product lifecycle management from post-launch support to end-of-life.
  • Guide teams in implementing design changes and product modifications efficiently.
  • Lead quality investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly executed.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring product issues.
  • Promote reliability improvement initiatives and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation according to industry standards.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service teams.
  • Develop and deliver training modules, workshops, and on-the-job guidance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustaining engineering activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in product lifecycle support and sustaining engineering.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience driving quality processes and improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Understanding of design changes, engineering change requests, and change management.
  • Ability to improve product reliability and performance metrics.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with maintaining multi-industry products.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience with PLM software and reliability tools.
  • Prior experience training engineers in a multi-industry setup.
