Senior Hardware Designer for Energy Storage Systems

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Senior Hardware Designer to lead the design and development of hardware systems for energy storage domains. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in designing and architecting complex power electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement BMS HW systems that meet or exceed industry standards for quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and provide solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality modules and systems that meet our clients' requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 12-14 years of experience in designing and developing BMS systems for energy storage applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in power electronics, digital circuit design, analog circuit design, ADCs, DACs, OP Amps, micro-processors, micro-controllers, and DSPs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries, including UL9540, UL1973, IEC62619, and IEC 60730.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB layout constraints and Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries.
  • Experience working with simulation tools such as P-Spice, Matlab, and Mathcad.
  • Proficiency in FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience working with various sensing technologies, hardware peripherals, and communication circuit designs.
  • Strong background in Power Supply Design and MOSFET driving.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with safety-critical features such as charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products.
  • Knowledge of Safety Regulatory standards like IEC61508 and ISO26262 when building HW designs.
