Accounting and Payroll Specialist Role

As an accounting and payroll specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll for US-based clients in accordance with federal and state regulations.

  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close procedures
  • Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure timely deliverables
  • Support tax filings and compliance documentation as needed

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting and payroll (preferred)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, ADP, Gusto, or similar platforms
  • A strong understanding of US GAAP and payroll compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage deadlines across time zones
