Bus Manufacturing Operations Manager

As a seasoned Bus Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our production line.

Your primary objective will be to lead a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement automation and ergonomic improvements to enhance productivity and employee well-being.
  • Liaise with supply chain and warehousing to ensure timely material availability and monitor inventory levels.

You will work closely with QA teams to resolve line-level quality issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects. Additionally, you will lead Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce non-value-added activities and improve line balancing.

A key aspect of this role is team leadership and management. You will mentor and guide production supervisors and line staff, conducting skill gap analysis and organizing training programs to enhance their expertise.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in automotive production, preferably in bus/coach body building.
  • Domain expertise in BIW, Assembly, and EV manufacturing.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or ISO/TS are highly desirable.
