Job Title: Product Engineering Leader

As a seasoned product engineering professional, you will be responsible for spearheading the development of innovative products that meet our customers' needs.

This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal. You will work closely with senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical expertise, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap in conjunction with strategy, product, and business teams, and drive execution.
  • Act as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products.
  • Identify and deploy suitable tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency of product engineers.
  • Oversee product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed timeframes.
  • Own non-functional requirements (NFRs) for products.
  • Contribute to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.
  • Lead product development (full stack) and release efforts, encompassing architecture, design, development, and testing within specified timelines.
Required Skills:
  • PDC experience highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methods, including user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, and shared ownership.
  • Ability to leverage off-the-shelf software components when feasible.
  • Value-driven approach, prioritizing progress over perfection, with a track record of delivering customer value.
  • Hands-on expertise with Typescript and proficiency with JavaScript-based front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte, as well as back-end technologies like Node.js.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Proven ability to build and ship high-traffic web applications and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with observability tools to identify and isolate issues.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
