Network Team Lead Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Team Lead to spearhead our data center networking operations. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for architecting and managing cloud network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, flexibility, and performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, install, maintain, and manage cloud network infrastructure, including physical and SDN networks.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and optimize network performance.
  • Oversee a team of Network Engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and deliver technical solutions and proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
  • Manage and deliver technical validation activities, including Proof Of Concept.

Requirements

This is a highly technical role requiring 80% hands-on expertise and 20% managerial capabilities. We are looking for someone with at least 6-8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless devices.

Strong fundamentals and understanding of the following Data Center network technologies:

  • WAN & Routing technologies (Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN)
  • Security technologies (Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies)
  • Switching (VLANs, VXLAN LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q)
  • Familiarity with QoS including basic QoS commands and implementations
  • Network monitoring Protocols & Tools (SNMP, NetFlow , Zabbix, PRTG etc.)

Good knowledge of SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience on any one of the SDN provider – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco etc.

Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.

Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.

Motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.

Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
