Design Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing 3D models and 2D drawings of heavy fabrication components.

This role requires strong technical skills and experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. Additionally, proficiency in Key Creator Atlas is an asset.

You will work closely with the production team to ensure manufacturability of designs and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models & 2D drawings of heavy fabrication components (frames, booms, arms, chassis, brackets, sheet metal).
  • Perform strength, tolerance, and weld design calculations.
  • Ensure manufacturability of designs with respect to cutting, bending, machining, and welding processes.
  • Prepare BOMs, technical specifications, and release drawings for production.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and customer standards.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on expertise in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Key Creator Atlas.
  • GD&T, welding symbols, fabrication process knowledge.
  • Experience in heavy steel structures & assemblies.
