Lead Mortgage Underwriting Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee daily operations and ensure timely and accurate decisions on loan files. Your expertise will drive the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage underwriting for various mortgage products, including FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and jumbo loans.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex loan scenarios and exceptions.
  • Oversee team members to ensure they possess strong command of AUS systems (DU, LP) and manual underwriting practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in U.S. mortgage underwriting, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with Encompass or similar LOS platforms.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
