Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our data governance program. This individual will be responsible for building and supporting tools & technology to enable enterprise-wide data governance.

  • Develop and implement data governance programs using popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
  • Design and develop custom integrations between data governance tools and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support in implementing a solution for data cataloging with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.
  • Build solutions for data governance in popular tools to enable data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage of the enterprise's applications and data sources.
  • Enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • Support in migrating from existing data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a data governance tool.
  • Implement a workflow management system to optimize, improve, and automate data governance workflows for data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors.
  • Track, investigate, and correct data quality issues in a data governance tool and support in setting up data quality rules for data validation and standardization.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc to implement data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies.
  • Certifications on these tools is a plus.
