Senior Plant and Machinery Operations Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will succeed if they have a deep understanding of the industry and technical expertise.

This position requires strong leadership skills, decision-making abilities, and effective communication with multiple teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate plant and machinery, including tower cranes, hoists, and placer booms.
  • Develop methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and minimize costs.
  • Source personnel for plant and machinery operations, maintenance, and repair.
  • Generate reports on mechanical performance at site or project level.
  • Maintain site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Estimate monthly budgets for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them regularly.
  • Train personnel on safe equipment use to avoid accidents and provide guidelines on repairs and servicing.
  • Ensure maximum availability and minimum breakdowns of equipment at site.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
