Tendering Specialist

Job Description

The Tendering Specialist plays a pivotal role in identifying, preparing, and submitting tenders for infrastructure projects. This position requires a thorough understanding of contract conditions, pricing strategies, government portals (such as CPPP, IREPS), and compliance with tender requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tender Identification & Evaluation
    • Track government and private e-procurement portals daily to identify relevant tenders.
    • Evaluate eligibility criteria, scope of work, and risks before participating in tenders.
    • Prepare tender synopsis and present feasibility reports to management.
  • Tender Preparation & Submission
    • Coordinate with estimation, design, finance, and legal teams for inputs.
    • Compile technical & financial bids as per client requirements.
    • Ensure timely submission of bids (online/offline) with complete documentation.
  • Cost Estimation & Pricing
    • Work with the estimation team to prepare competitive pricing strategies.
    • Analyze BOQ, material, manpower, and subcontracting requirements.
    • Recommend pricing strategies based on competitor analysis.
  • Liaison & Coordination
    • Coordinate with government bodies, consultants, and clients for clarifications.
    • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client interactions.
    • Follow-up on tender results and maintain relationships with authorities.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain updated vendor registrations, certificates, and statutory compliances.
    • Ensure adherence to legal, tax, and technical documentation in tenders.
    • Maintain tender MIS reports, success ratios, and competitor insights.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Business Administration.
  • 5–8 years' experience in tendering/contracts in infrastructure/construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC, PPP, BOT tendering models.
  • Proficiency in government e-procurement portals (CPPP, IREPS, GEM, etc.).
  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Project, and documentation skills.
