Job Description\

In this pivotal role, you'll be spearheading the development and maintenance of a release train.

\

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing Deployment: Improve and manage phases of the development lifecycle through Agile coaching and best practice contributions.
  • Release Vision: Facilitate preparation of release vision, goals, and work pipelines, and facilitate pre and post planning meetings.
  • Release Calendars: Build and communicate release calendars and iterative planning cycles, synchronising with other release train managers across domains.
  • Aggregated Programme Objectives: Aggregate programme release objectives into value streams release objectives where they exist, and publish them for visibility and transparency.
  • Economic Decision-Making: Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating estimation by teams and rolling it up to programme and portfolio levels.

This will involve working with multiple scrum and non-scrum teams to deliver complex projects spanning various teams.

A key aspect of this role is driving continuous improvement across delivery via various channels, including improving or removing manual steps, and improving release train agility and value to end-state customers.

\Required Skills and Qualifications\

For this role, we're looking for someone with expert-level knowledge and proficiency in scaled Agile and P3M tools and methodologies.

Some essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Expert-Level Knowledge: Scaled Agile and P3M tools and methodologies at value stream, portfolio, programme, and team levels.
  • Prioritisation and Sequencing: Ability to prioritise and sequence tasks that are to be delivered by feature teams.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Strong servant leadership capabilities along with the ability to create and share a vision aligned with the bank's.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to influence both business and technical partners.
  • Data Understanding: Strong understanding of data platforms, data management, data governance, and data products.
