Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Release Management

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer - Release Management to join our team and support the deployment of enterprise applications. The role involves streamlining release activities, managing deployment pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and reliable releases across environments.

This position requires a strong understanding of DevOps release tools and the ability to work in fast-paced delivery cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing software releases across multiple environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.
  • Work closely with developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful and timely releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues.
  • Maintain accurate release documentation, deployment notes, and checklists.
  • Ensure compliance with release and change management processes.
  • Support global release cycles by providing night shift coverage during designated weeks.
  • Continuously improve release automation, monitoring, and rollback strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or Release Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
  • Scripting experience in Shell, Python, or Groovy.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve deployment issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • DevOps or Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) will be an added advantage.
