We are seeking a highly accomplished DevOps Leader with over 17 years of proven expertise in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide DevOps processes. The candidate will play a pivotal role in defining the organizations DevOps strategy, leading build and release initiatives, establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, and driving automation for scalable deployments. This role demands a hands-on visionary leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure operational excellence, and deliver high-availability systems across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and govern enterprise-level DevOps strategy, processes, and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineering teams across multiple geographies.
  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for large-scale Java-based and microservices applications.
  • Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Oversee containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk.
  • Govern release management processes ensuring compliance, traceability, and audit readiness.
  • Optimize cost, scalability, security, and performance in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Partner with application, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth product lifecycle management.
  • Champion DevSecOps, integrating security practices into the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity initiatives.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • 17+ years of progressive experience in IT, with 10+ years leading DevOps transformations.
  • Deep expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including networking, compute, storage, and security.
  • Strong background in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Spinnaker).
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
  • Expert in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proven experience in Java-based application build, release, and deployment processes.
  • Strong knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, vulnerability management, and compliance standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives, influence senior leadership, and deliver results in large-scale enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification(s): AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Terraform Associate.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (BFSI, Healthcare, Telecom) with strict compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven DevOps (AIOps) for predictive monitoring and automation.
  • Proven record of building and scaling high-performance DevOps teams.
