Job Description Business Development & Sales (Hospitality Division)
Position: AVP/ GM – Business Development & Sales
Department: Sales & Marketing – Hospitality Division
Reports To: Business Head- Hospitality/COO-IFM Business
Role Overview
The Business Development & Sales professional will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the client base, and establishing strong customer relationships in the hospitality division. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets while maintaining high service standards expected in the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the hospitality division – Hotels industry (corporates, institutions, travel partners, events, etc.).
- Develop a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, and market research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry stakeholders.
- Drive market penetration for hospitality services such as hotels, banquets, catering, facility management, and corporate hospitality solutions.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales and revenue targets.
- Develop customized proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
- Work closely with revenue management teams to optimize pricing, packages, and promotions.
- Monitor competition, market trends, and customer preferences to refine sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management
- Ensure superior client experience through proactive engagement and problem-solving.
- Manage key accounts, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of promised services.
Strategic & Operational Contribution
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare periodic sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns, promotions, and brand positioning.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales and revenue targets.
- New client acquisitions and market penetration.
- Retention and growth of existing accounts.
- Contribution to brand visibility and market positioning.
- Customer satisfaction and feedback scores.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Graduate / MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Hospitality Management.
- Experience: 10–18 years with proven track record of handling large accounts and leading teams.
- Strong industry network and understanding of hospitality trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales analytics.
- Should have worked as Executive Housekeeper in Hotel Industry.
