MongoDB Database Administrator Position

We are seeking a skilled MongoDB DBA to join our team and play a critical role in managing large-scale distributed environments. As a member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, availability, and security of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage MongoDB solutions in dev, test, and prod environments.
  • Develop and maintain replication, sharding, backups, patching, and upgrades strategies.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize queries, indexing, and schema.
  • Implement high-availability, disaster-recovery, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for integration and tuning.
  • Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Participate in 24x7 support and on-call rotations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience as a MongoDB DBA (Replica sets & Sharded clusters).
  • Versions: MongoDB 5.x & 6.x.
  • Strong skills in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and Linux scripting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ops Manager, Cloud Manager, Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
