We are seeking a seasoned MongoDB expert to lead the design, implementation and optimization of our database infrastructure.

As a Lead Database Developer, you will be responsible for architecting high-performance databases on-premises and in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database schemas that represent business processes.
  • Develop and maintain database architecture for scalability and high availability.
  • Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
  • Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures and storage solutions.
  • Run diagnostic tests and quality assurance procedures.
  • Document processes, systems and configurations.
  • Collaborate with DBAs and development teams on database backup and recovery procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in NoSQL database management, specifically MongoDB, with expertise in performance tuning and architecture design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record as a MongoDB/Cosmos/DocumentDB Performance, Data Modelling and Architecture Expert.
  • Experience with database architecture and design to support application development projects.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB/Cosmos/DocumentDB features such as Sharding and Replication.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based database hosting.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of database architectures and data modelling principles.
  • Good knowledge of modern DevOps practices and their adoption in database development.
  • Experience with data migrations from relational to NoSQL databases.
