**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Senior MongoDB Architect to lead our data architecture initiatives and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MongoDB, with expertise in replication, sharding, backup, and recovery. Additionally, they should have hands-on experience with Debezium, particularly the Oracle connector (LogMiner), and a deep understanding of Oracle internals relevant to CDC: redo logs, SCNs, archive log mode, and supplemental logging.

The successful candidate will be proficient in Apache Kafka and Kafka ecosystem tools, with experience in monitoring and debugging Debezium connectors in production environments. They will also possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze logs, metrics, and connector configurations to identify root causes of issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage MongoDB expertise to design and implement scalable data architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and onboarding
  • Provide subject matter expertise on MongoDB-related technologies and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a MongoDB DBA in production environments
  • MongoDB Certified DBA Associate or higher
  • Deep expertise in MongoDB architecture, including replication, sharding, backup, and recovery
  • Strong hands-on experience with Debezium, especially the Oracle connector (LogMiner)
  • Deep understanding of Oracle internals relevant to CDC: redo logs, SCNs, archive log mode, and supplemental logging
  • Proficiency with Apache Kafka and Kafka ecosystem tools
  • Experience with monitoring and debugging Debezium connectors in production environments
  • Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and connector configurations to identify root causes of issues
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for delivering technical assessments

Additional Skills:

  • Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.)
  • RedHat Certifications concerning Kafka or Debezium
