
Senior Culinary Operations Manager

The primary role of a Food and Beverage Coordinator is to oversee the smooth operation of the kitchen. This position requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on coordinating activities of cooks and workers, determining food presentation, and creating decorative displays.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers.
- Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to be served.
- Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared.
- Inform service staff of menu specials and out of stock items.
- Prepare special meals or substitute items.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
- Provide cooks with needed items.
- Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food.
- Maintain logs for food safety program and products.
- Ensure the quality of food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications.
In addition to culinary expertise, this role also involves:
- Assisting management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Following all policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information; protecting company assets.
- Addressing guests' service needs.
- Speaking with others using clear and professional language.
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others; supporting team to reach common goals; listening and responding appropriately to concerns of other employees.
- Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time.
- Reaching overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
