Job Overview

We are seeking a Powertrain Specialist to lead the development and implementation of high-voltage electrical systems for vehicle components.

  • Design and develop harness/Busbard/Cell packaging, identifying issues, and driving resolution prior to validation builds.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure implementation of design changes during program development, prototype, and production build phases according to project timelines.
  • Conduct stack-up analysis on designed components to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Develop test cases, design rules, or requirements as needed.
  • Benchmarking & concept development for innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with suppliers/Buyer & VFM team to create and manage supply plans for M1/VB and production cars.
  • Support development of parts in-house or at supplier end and testing of parts at supplier or in-house as per DV or PV.
  • Participate in Supplier PPAP activities & periodic audits of suppliers to improve quality and process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a cross-functional team to develop high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Ensuring the validated release and sign-off of dedicated vehicle components and sub-systems.
  • Coordinating with system integration engineering teams to update harness routing and busbar layouts.
  • Developing circuit schematics and validating circuits for full vehicle architecture.

Preferred skills include experience in Electrical wiring harness, busbar, Fuse, connectors, relays, routing, and packaging in CATIA V5/V6.

Demonstrable experience of system release responsibility from concept to manufacture is also preferred.
