We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks using DATEV software.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of German accounting principles and expertise in financial record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with local tax regulations.
This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Financial Records: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with German accounting standards.
- Support Tax Office Closings: Assist in preparing and submitting financial data in compliance with local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile accounts, manage ledgers, and ensure data integrity.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, assisting in audit preparation, and staying updated with relevant changes in German tax laws and accounting regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- DATEV Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience using DATEV accounting software.
- German Accounting Knowledge: Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax filing processes.
- Documentation Preparation: Experience in preparing documentation for tax office closings.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
- Language Proficiency: English proficiency required.
Prior experience working in a German accounting environment or with German clients is highly valued. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is also preferred.
