Role Overview
The Bid Manager – Sales plays a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end proposal development process. This involves collaborating closely with Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals that align with client needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of RFPs, RFIs, and bid submissions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
- Draft, review, and consolidate proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and best practices to streamline future submissions.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Portfolio Management, Revenue Operations, and Legal, to gather necessary information for bid responses.
- Work closely with revenue operations teams to track bid success rates and identify areas for improvement.
- Support pre-sales efforts by creating tailored proposal content, pitch decks, and presentations.
- Assist in developing sales strategies by analyzing past bid performance and competitive insights.
- Ensure alignment between sales proposals and pricing strategies.
- Liaise with Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to develop technical and solution-oriented responses.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals.
- Facilitate internal bid review meetings, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Establish and improve bid management processes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, legal, and regulatory requirements for all bid submissions.
- Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and related documentation.
- Own the process and ensure timelines for submission are followed.
