Lead Business Development Expert

We are seeking a seasoned business development professional to spearhead our business expansion efforts in the petrochemicals vertical.

The ideal candidate will drive strategic acquisition initiatives, focusing on underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally. They will be responsible for end-to-end M&A strategy execution, including target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets globally.
  • Leverage existing networks and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to execute deals smoothly.
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Align expansion strategies with overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, particularly rig operations.
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
