Academic Leadership Role

The role of Associate Dean at a faculty of physiotherapy seeks experienced professionals to support the leadership in managing academic, research, and extension programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leaders to enhance academic and administrative functions within the institution.
  • Evaluate and improve academic programs aligned with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee regularity of all academic sessions, maintain proper decorum, and ensure quality teaching in classes and labs.
  • Implement protocols for examinations, analyze teaching load, and determine requirements for additional instructors.
  • Promote research activities, encourage faculty and students to engage in research projects, and publish their work.
  • Serve as a member of academic committees, provide input on agenda items related to faculty, and facilitate timely Board of Studies and Faculty Meetings.
  • Maintain connections with industry professionals, alumni, and academic partners for collaborative projects and internships.
  • Maintain a repository of data on faculty members, including their academic credentials, professional experience, and research activities.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Physiotherapy (M.P.T./M.Th.P./M.Pth./M.Sc. P.T.) with fifteen years total experience.
  • Higher qualification like Ph.D. in any discipline of Physiotherapy recognized by the UGC and published work of high standard in peer-reviewed journals.
