Learning Management System Specialist

Job Overview:

The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist plays a pivotal role in creating and maintaining high-quality learning experiences on Canvas LMS. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop courses in Canvas LMS, ensuring alignment with instructional design specifications.
  • Format and organize content pages, HTML pages, quizzes, assignments, and documents according to design document guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Develop and manage course assets, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Conduct QA and QC reviews to ensure learning materials meet quality and accessibility standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related issues during course setup and delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related field.
  • 1-4 years of working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working on the Canvas LMS and/or Content Management System (CMS) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of accessibility standards for course design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
