Lead Software Development Engineer

We are seeking an Engineering Manager with a strong product development background to lead our Java backend engineering teams.

As a leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical Leadership: Guide senior engineers and architects in technology decisions and career development.
  • Hands-on Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices.
  • Technology Strategy: Drive adoption of best practices in Java ecosystem, cloud architecture, and modern development methodologies.
  • System Architecture: Lead design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers across multiple product areas.
  • Partner with Product, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Manage team capacity, project allocation, and technical roadmap execution.
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience with strong focus on Java backend development.
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 5+ engineers.
  • Proven track record in product development environments with experience shipping customer-facing applications.
  • Hands-on experience with full software development lifecycle in agile.
