About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our team of world-class software engineers in delivering high-quality solutions for tax professionals across Amazon's Global Tax Reporting and Compliance organization.

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers to drive product/platform development and partner with other Amazon teams and businesses.
  • Manage requirements, design, build, and rollout solutions that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Support customers through reporting and compliance cycles, mentoring, troubleshooting, and running processes as needed.
  • Understand the solutions we have today and apply them where appropriate, while inventing new capabilities when needed.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting systems.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the development of software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. This includes managing requirements, designing and building solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills. You should have experience managing engineering teams and developing software solutions.
