Job Description

As a seasoned leader in technology testing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the quality assurance of complex data engineering pipelines and product delivery initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring seamless integration across multiple systems, APIs, and data sources.

With a strong background in software testing and leadership, you will mentor junior QA engineers, promote testing best practices, and evaluate new testing tools and technologies. Your technical acumen will be essential in designing scalable testing infrastructure and CI/CD integration.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement End-to-End Testing Frameworks: Develop and implement robust testing frameworks for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure Test Coverage: Ensure thorough test coverage across ETL/ELT, data transformation, lineage, and consumption layers.
  • Develop Integrated Testing Strategies: Design and develop integrated testing strategies spanning multiple systems, APIs, and data sources.
  • Establish Testing Standards: Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.


Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Software Testing Experience: 10+ years in software testing.
  • Data Engineering Experience: 8+ years experience testing data engineering systems, ETL pipelines, or analytics platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong SQL experience with major databases (Redshift, Bigquery, etc.), experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and their data services, knowledge of data pipeline tools (Apache Airflow, Kafka, Confluent, Spark, dbt, etc.).
