Job Title: SAP HANA Database Administrator The Role: This position involves managing the technical infrastructure for SAP S/4HANA systems, including OS administration, database management (SAP HANA), and SAP software deployment and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the SAP S/4HANA environment on SLES. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Managing SLES for SAP, including installation, configuration, updates, patching, and security hardening.
  • Configuring storage (Logical Volume Management - LVM, RAID (DB Backend), NFS (Network File systems)) and network (bonding, VLANs) for SAP applications.
  • Monitoring system resources and performance, and tuning for optimal SAP performance.
  • Assisting in setting up and maintaining SAP HANA databases.
  • Managing HANA database users, security, and permissions.
  • Monitoring HANA performance and tuning.
  • Performing BASIS activities like system/server administration, transport management, Fiori Launchpad configuration, web dispatcher/router setup.
  • Managing user accounts, authorizations, and system security.
  • Troubleshooting SLES and SAP HANA-related issues impacting SAP operations.
 Requirements: 
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, particularly SLES.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture and deployments.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA database management.
  • Experience with SAP Basis activities, including system administration, transport management, and security.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
