SAP HANA Database Administrator

This role involves providing technical expertise for the design, implementation, and administration of SAP HANA databases. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SAP HANA system architecture, Linux operating systems, and database administration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing technical incidents, message processing, and root cause analysis.
  • Performing installation, patching, upgrades, and migrations of SAP HANA systems.
  • Monitoring system performance, executing tuning activities, and ensuring regular backups and recovery procedures.
  • Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness for HANA environments.
  • Providing technical expertise for system optimization, architecture improvements, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will be skilled in:

  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA system architecture and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in HANA installation, administration, and upgrades.
  • Proficient in backup and recovery management, including point-in-time recovery and backup troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in HANA Studio for monitoring, performance tuning, and alert management.
  • Expertise in user and role management, audit log configuration, and enabling traces for performance analysis.
  • Skilled in parameter configuration, memory/CPU utilization troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues.
