SAP HANA Application Security Specialist

Our organization seeks a seasoned SAP HANA Application Security Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of robust security solutions for SAP HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security roles and authorizations within SAP HANA, including analytic privileges, object privileges, system privileges, and package privileges.
  • Configure and manage user provisioning and de-provisioning processes in SAP HANA, ensuring adherence to security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of SAP HANA systems to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures specific to the SAP HANA environment.
  • Troubleshoot complex access and authorization issues in SAP HANA, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with application teams, database administrators, and compliance officers to ensure security best practices are integrated throughout the SAP landscape.
  • Implement and manage data encryption at rest and in transit for SAP HANA.
  • Configure and monitor audit logging within SAP HANA to track security-relevant events.
  • Provide expert guidance on SAP HANA security architecture and participate in solution design discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in SAP security, with a significant focus on SAP HANA Application Security.
  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA security architecture, including HDI containers, XS Advanced (XSA), and database security.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing SAP HANA roles, privileges, and analytic privileges.
  • Hands-on experience with user and role management in SAP HANA.
  • Knowledge of data encryption techniques for SAP HANA.
  • Experience with SAP HANA auditing and logging.
