Expert Platform Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our OCP Platform, providing exceptional support and service to our users.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Openshift environments: Ensure that all Openshift environments are properly installed, configured, and maintained to meet the needs of our users.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the Openshift platform: Implement strategies to ensure high availability and reliability of the Openshift platform, minimizing downtime and maximizing user satisfaction.
• Monitor and optimize cluster performance: Monitor and analyze cluster performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Implement security best practices within the cluster: Implement robust security measures to protect the cluster from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Openshift environment: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the Openshift environment, working closely with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment.
• Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment: Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployment, providing expert guidance and support as needed.
• Document procedures and provide training to team members: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures and protocols, providing training and support to team members as needed.
• Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery operations: Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime.

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years of experience in administrating Kubernetes or Openshift environments: Proven track record of success in administering Kubernetes or Openshift environments, with a strong understanding of containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies: In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices: Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and other DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of networking and security within containerized environments: Strong understanding of networking and security concepts within containerized environments, including firewall configuration, access control, and encryption.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Core Tools & Technology Stack:

• Red Hat OpenShift , ODF Ceph storage , Loki stack, Container ,Docker,CI/CD pipelines,Ansible,Linux administration,Git,Prometheus/Grafana,sdn, OVN kubernets ,Networking,Shell scripting.

Qualification:

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience and education.
