Group Business Transformation Lead

Purpose:

The role holder spearheads a team to optimize new business and policy servicing for group business.

Context:

The role holder operates within the Operations Department, focusing on Group New Business & Policy Servicing, to provide exceptional customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Sales and Actuarial teams for individual Group process closure.
  • Achieve policy issuance and resolve customer and intermediary queries.
  • Ensure efficient, effective, professional, and courteous service to intermediaries and customers.
  • Maintain consistency in established procedures and introduce improvements whenever possible.
  • Implement and maintain quality and quantity controls to aid proactive management and anticipate problems.
  • Supervise and train an effective team meeting the business needs of the organization as it grows.
  • Coordinate with finance for policy account balance reconciliation.
  • Lead group business transformation and digitization efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:

An MBA or ACII with 8-10 years' experience in customer services or operations departments is required. An Associate of Insurance Institute is beneficial.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

  • Experience in operations in the financial services industry.
  • Group Operation department experience in an insurance company is essential.
  • Data processing experience to deliver operational efficiency.
  • Computer skills in using databases and office management software, including word processors and spreadsheets.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills.
