Print Services Manager Job

We are seeking an experienced print administrator to manage and support our print environment, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

  • Manage and work on printers, print servers, configurations, installations, validations, and troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of printers, plotters, and printing from mainframe systems.
  • Experience with Mainframe >>> VPS >>> VPSX environments.
  • Ongoing OCR - document processing from mainframe, queue management, and release for issue resolution.
  • Software installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Badge authentication and issuance procedures.
  • Printer troubleshooting, including driver installation, mapping, queues, and new printer requests.
  • Hardware issues related to printers and their timely resolution.
  • Management of print services on the server, including patching and validation.
  • Liaising with vendors for technical assistance and support.
  • Scheduled health checks, weekly highlights, and monthly reports for print services.
  • Prioritizing and handling P1, P2 tickets and MI's efficiently.
  • Root cause analysis (RCA) for print-related issues.
  • Creation and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitoring and managing enterprise print services using OMPlus and LRS VPSX for job routing, auditing, and failover.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in OMPlus for centralized job control and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with LRS VPSX – for output management and delivery.
  • HP Web Jetadmin skills – for device discovery, configuration, and firmware updates.
  • Troubleshooting user print issues – including errors, queue problems, new printer requests, and connectivity issues.
  • Managing print drivers and firmware upgrades.
  • Operating System (OS) knowledge, particularly Windows Server/Unix server.
