Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to manage our Linux server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux system administration, with a strong focus on server operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Server installation, configuration, and management
  • Hypervisor operations (XEN, VMware)
  • LVM, DNS, LDAP, IPTables configuration and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of Linux OS operations and physical server management
  • Proficiency in at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • BASIC knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Chef) and scripting

Key Requirements:

  • Tech Support: Deliver 3rd level technical support in compliance with customer SLAs
  • Daily Operations: Handle daily compute operations (Events, Incidents, Service Requests, Change Requests, RCA) following ITIL processes
  • Server Management: Perform server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning, and special configurations beyond automated tasks
  • Storage Operations: Support storage operations based on NetApp-NFS
  • OS Management: Manage package/repository and maintain OS images
  • Patch Management: Execute patch management using BladeLogic Automation
  • Monitoring and Alerts: Configure and roll out server-related monitoring/alerts
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing and analysis
  • RCA: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for customer incidents
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer for services/tasks
  • Assistance: Assist 2nd-level technical support in handling complex issues
  • On-Call: Be willing to participate in On-Call setup, including weekends or public holidays, if required by the project
