Strategic Procurement Expert for GPG-AC Products

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Expert to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY INDIA LIMITED.

**About the Role:**

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the electrical or electronics industry.
  • You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring GPG-AC products from local and global suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to company policies.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production planning and execution.
  • You will be responsible for managing supplier performance, including On-Time Delivery (SOTD), cost reduction, and supplier forecast accuracy.
  • You will also be responsible for long-term planning, monthly monitoring of results, and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • You will manage the execution and tracking of GPG-AC products procurement activities through GBS teams.
  • You will ensure buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • You will collaborate with cross functions and timely updating product delivery details to stakeholders in the organization.
  • You will manage the production prioritization in close coordination with INGDC order requirement and component availability SPoC for EMS and 3rd party operative coordination, planning, escalations, issues, capacity, Component shortages and PPV, OTD SAP Master Data Governance: contract Mgmt / Outline Agreements / Master data: Material/MDF/Delivery-/Payment Terms)
  • You will be an active member in S&OP team.
  • You will ensure providing rolling 18/24 month forecasting of GPG-AC – INGDC 2877 Products details to suppliers.
  • You will work along with suppliers and ensure long lead component procurement action and component stock status against forecast.
  • You will initiate appropriate procurement actions to speed up component purchase to meet project deliveries.
  • You will follow local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to drive procurement actions.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in procurement.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Tactical procurement process.
  • Knowledge on Communication Products is an advantage.
  • Manage Consignment Excess/Obsolete Claims; PPV Claims and Forecast deviation Claims from suppliers.
  • Familiarity with materials Export & Import process.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP system.
  • Familiarity with Sub-contracting process.
  • Supplier Claim Handling.
  • Consignment component handling.
  • Medium to long-term supply capability.
  • Overdue / Order Mgmt / Cash Mgmt.
  • MIS Reporting – Expert in MS Office (Excel/PPT/data analysis).
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

**Estimated Salary:** ₹1500000 - ₹2500000 per annum
