Hitachi Energy India Limited seeks a skilled Senior Strategic Procurement Manager to lead the procurement activities for GPG-AC products. This role involves strategic planning, collaboration with local and global suppliers, data management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct materials in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including On-Time Delivery (SOTD), cost reduction, and supplier forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure long-term planning and monthly monitoring of results, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the execution and tracking of GPG-AC product procurement activities through Global Business Services (GBS) teams.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and commercial procedures, as well as company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to update product delivery details and manage production prioritization in close coordination with INGDC order requirements.
  • Act as an active member of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) team.
  • Provide rolling 18/24-month forecasting of GPG-AC product details to suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure long-lead component procurement actions and monitor component stock status against forecasts.
  • Initiate appropriate procurement actions to expedite component purchases and meet project delivery deadlines.
  • Foster a culture of safety and integrity within the organization, adhering to local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Tactical procurement processes and knowledge of Communication Products is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage consignment excess/obsolete claims, PPV claims, and deviations from suppliers.
  • Experience with materials export and import processes, as well as SAP ERP systems, is required.
  • Ability to handle subcontracting processes, supplier claim handling, and consignment component handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis, is essential.
  • Strong written and spoken English language skills are required.
