About the Role

The Creative Team at Trusted Media Brands India is seeking a detail-oriented copy editor to join our team. As a seasoned publishing professional, you will be responsible for copy editing and proofreading content produced by our editorial teams.


About You

You are a word person who cares deeply about accuracy, details big and small, typography, grammar, word nuances, and our readers. You enjoy collaborating with multiple brand editors to fix nuances and significant story discrepancies. You have an eye for spotting typographical inconsistencies and communicating those to the team's designers if you cannot fix them yourself.


Your Day-to-Day

  • Edit and proofread copy for magazines, books, special-interest publications, custom publishing projects, advertising, and marketing projects, and other work as assigned
  • Using Word and InCopy, ensure that all content follows our global style and is on-brand, accurate, grammatically correct, clearly written, of value to the customer, and in good taste
  • Ensure that content, format, style, and design elements are consistent and correct while checking facts against source material, doing independent research as needed at reliable websites
  • Work closely with editorial managers to suggest improvements to headlines, decks, story openings, captions, cover lines, graphic elements, and other content
  • Leverage the company's archives to verify content featured in books
  • Input corrections into the company's recipe database data as required
