Job Description:About The Role:

The Editor will report to the Content Director and contribute to the editorial efforts of Birds & Blooms and Birds & Blooms Extra magazines.

The ideal candidate will be a cross-functional and creative editor and writer with an understanding of turning nature trends into engaging stories.

  • Collaborate with editorial and art teams to contribute to the creative execution of content for the brand's magazines.
  • Employ creative skills as a writer and editor, writing engaging copy and headlines, and crafting engaging layers for stories that enhance reader service.
  • Collaborate with fellow editorial teammates and designers to see the magazine production through to completion.
  • Work in close collaboration with editors and designers to maintain brand integrity and voice.
  • Use brand-approved sources to ensure that content is accurate and in alignment with our editorial standards.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all project deadlines and goals are met.
About You:

You should have a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field and familiarity with AP style.

Additionally, you should have 2+ years of proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills, experience with content production tools such as InCopy, and a content management system.

You should also be able to openly collaborate, verbally communicate, and accept constructive feedback with teammates.

About This Team:

The Editor, Birds & Blooms position is critically important to the success of the Print Editorial team and Trusted Media Brands overall.

The team is highly collaborative, working seamlessly with other teams around the business.
