About This Role:

The Content Editor will play a critical part in the editorial team's success at Trusted Media Brands, reporting to the Content Director. As a key contributor, you will craft original content and edit freelance- and reader-written stories for publishing in Birds & Blooms and Birds & Blooms Extra magazines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with editorial and art teams to execute creative content for the brand's magazines.
  • Employ your writing and editing skills to produce engaging copy and headlines, as well as crafting engaging layers for stories that enhance reader service.
  • Work closely with fellow editorial teammates and designers to see magazine production through to completion, including tasks such as fact-checking, copyfitting, caption writing, checking photo credits, and proofreading.
  • Maintain brand integrity and voice by suggesting changes to copy to ensure they are representative of the brand's mission.
  • Use brand-approved sources to guarantee content accuracy and alignment with our editorial standards.
  • Cordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all project deadlines and goals are met.
  • Manage reader submissions.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field, along with familiarity with AP style.
  • 2+ years of proven writing, editing, and proofreading experience.
  • Experience with content production tools like InCopy and a content management system.
  • An ability to collaborate openly, verbally communicate effectively, and accept constructive feedback from teammates.
  • A knack for organizing and managing multiple projects at once, consistently meeting deadlines and catching all the details.
  • An organized, thorough, and deadline-oriented approach to content creation.

Estimated Salary: ₹ 8,00,000 - ₹ 10,50,000 per year (dependent on location and experience).
