Job Title: Senior Manager, IT Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to lead the management and operation of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at our institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, and performance optimization.
  • Availability and Reliability: Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
  • Issue Resolution: Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
  • Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
  • Training and Support: Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Strategic Planning: Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
  • Governance and Compliance: Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Innovation and Technology: Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAs, and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Service Excellence: Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integration and Data: Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
  • Compliance and Security: Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Around 15 years of progressive experience in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
  • Strong experience in application integration, vendor management, and IT governance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation best practices.
