Corporate Credit Analyst Role

The role of a corporate credit analyst is critical in evaluating the financial health and creditworthiness of companies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing corporate clients globally and providing recommendations on their creditworthiness.

Job Description

Our corporate credit analysts work closely with Relationship Managers, Product partners, and Credit approvers to ensure that our lending opportunities are optimal in terms of risk and return. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate clients and undertaking detailed due diligence of borrowers/industry.
  • Annual renewal of limits and borrower ratings as per our credit processes and procedures, collaborating with stakeholders such as Relationship Managers, Product teams, and Credit Officers/Approvers.
  • Covenant checks and periodic monitoring reports.
  • Preparation of sector reports and event-based stress tests of the portfolio as necessary.
  • Supporting Relationship Managers/Senior Credit Analysts in the department on ad-hoc requests related to new transactions or other portfolio reviews.

Additionally, you will be expected to:

  • Audit management – Internal, External including regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and timely compliance with internal policies and reporting procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in fundamental corporate analysis gained in either a bank (or their Global Capability Centre), asset manager, or rating agency environment.
  • A strong emphasis on credit analysis in the context of a transaction or event.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience after post-graduation (CA/CFA/MBA Finance or equivalents).
Functional/Technical Competencies

As a successful candidate, you should have:

  • Experience covering EMEA Large Corporates.
  • A good understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections.
  • Understanding of market risk and ISDA documents would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg/CapIQ and similar systems.
