Job Opportunity: Data Management Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating item master data in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, as well as vendor master data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and maintain accurate item master data, including product codes, descriptions, categories, pack sizes, etc.
  • Maintain and update vendor master data, including pricing and other key attributes.
  • Record and regularly update transit days for distribution center-vendor combinations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by running regular validations and checks.
  • Support resolution of data-related issues with sourcing, planning, and purchase teams.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Prepare and publish daily planning reports for operations and supply chain teams.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports/scorecards covering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including supply chain, vendor performance, inventory, and service levels.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure timely availability of Management Information System (MIS) to management.
  • Automate and simplify reporting formats in Excel/ERP systems for efficiency.
  • Support ad-hoc data and reporting requirements from management.

Process Support and Coordination

  • Maintain proper documentation of changes in item master and pricing.
  • Support internal audits and compliance requirements by providing accurate data.
  • Suggest improvements in data entry and reporting processes to minimize errors and manual work.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formatting, and macro knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle large data sets and maintain high accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple teams.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, IT, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Master Data Management/MIS/Reporting in FMCG, Manufacturing, or related industries.
