Job Title: Chief Data Governance Officer

About the Role

The organization seeks a seasoned Data Management professional to lead and oversee end-to-end delivery of our Data Management delivery practice, encompassing Data Engineering, Data Migration, Data Modernization, and Data Governance projects.

A proven track record of ensuring delivery excellence through well-defined methodologies, standardized practices, and quality assurance frameworks is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, and enforce best practices and standards for data project execution.
  • Monitor project health through KPIs, metrics, and governance reviews.
  • Ensure risk management, escalation protocols, and change control processes are in place and effective.
  • Lead data strategy creation and implementation, enabling the organization to effectively collect, manage, use, and protect its data to support business goals and drive value.
  • Oversee architecture & design: Define scalable and secure data architecture for data pipelines, warehousing, and processing systems.
  • Drive technology selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Data Management, including Data Engineering, Data Migration, Data Modernization, and Data Governance.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results through well-defined methodologies, standardized practices, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
