Job Title: Desktop Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the IT industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, Configure and Maintain Operating Systems: Install, configure and maintain Windows and macOS operating systems on desktops, laptops and other devices.
  • Troubleshoot Hardware Issues: Troubleshoot hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
  • Software Installation and Update: Install, update and patch software applications and security tools on company devices.
  • Microsoft 365 Support: Provide day-to-day support for Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • System Provisioning: Support system provisioning via Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Active Directory Management: Manage user accounts, groups and permissions using Active Directory.
  • Network Support: Troubleshoot basic network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) and VPN connectivity problems.
  • Device Configuration: Perform basic configuration and support of network devices such as routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Network Printer Setup: Assist in IP address configuration and network printer setup.
  • Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor and maintain network performance at the location.
  • IT Ticket Response: Respond to IT support tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Technical Documentation: Document technical issues, solutions and IT processes accurately.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry best practices.
  • Asset Management: Manage IT assets and maintain inventory for your designated location.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Firewall and Switch Knowledge: Basic understanding of Firewalls and Layer 2 Switches.
  • ITSM Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for ticket management.
  • Independent Work Ability: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
